Haha, I wouldn't have thought of that! I'll try it, perhaps it'll work better.
At work, we can actually purchase "bee sticks" which are essentially headless/legless bee bodies on toothpicks. They're particularly effective for transferring pollen since that's what the hairs on a bee's body do naturally... but it's a bit too much for me.

we used to use the eraser on a pencil when I worked in an orchard. very effective and yabdont have to waste a q-tip :)
